01/14/2010 Classic army coutroom drama that manages to be gripping without ever being dry. Above all it's very, very British. Horrible ending, though, which just seems to peter out. See more 01/23/2009 This is a lovely British film; David Niven plays a holder of the Victoria Cross who is being court-martialled. The film is thoroughly 1950s, very British, and I really enjoyed it; the film was full of a lovely humour. See more 01/21/2009 Not the greatest of courtroom dramas, but David Niven gives a controlled performance of the court-marshalled soldier which makes it very watchable. See more 10/24/2008 Dated but good drama, with plenty of British Stiff Upper Lip! See more 10/10/2008 The story is slight and somewhat overblown but the twists towards the end are effective and the performances keep you involved. See more 09/30/2008 David Niven is maliciously accused of theft by his scheming Commanding Officer - but wins the day. and the girl, whilst maintaining his dignity and stiff upper lip throughout!
