Clyde Gilmour Maclean's Magazine This kind of trash often flourishes at the box office but discriminating customers are hereby warned that it's a vulgar and repetitious hospital farce from Britain. Oct 28, 2019 Full Review MFB Critics Monthly Film Bulletin A somewhat stale farce, mixing slapstick, caricature and crudely anatomical humour, puts life in a public hospital ward into the same cheerlessly rollicking category as the barrack-room. bill t Oddly enough, just like Carry On Sergeant, the cast (which is, in large part, the same as the first), won me over with it's heart, when it really shouldn't. Essentially just a series of short gags set in a hospital. Hardly any character development. But this works. Why? Maybe it's just because noone is wasted, all the characters are interesting. Nothing lke ths could be pulled off today. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Not one of their best but still enjoyable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review simon d Despite the addition of Joan Simms, Leslie Philips, and June Whitfield to the team, this film is a very weak one. It seems to have no general storyline, just a series of silly, pointless, incidents. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Hilarous romp about men awaiting surgery in a british hospital, sexual urges arouse for the men to ding dong a nurse. Good acting, and belivble dialouge make this a rather camp comedy. There is also a sub plot romance between Ted (Terrance Longdon) and Nurse Denton (Shirley Eaton) who is leaving for a hospital in America.
