Here we get a good example of taking a fun concept, running with it, and just allowing the story and cast to have fun, directing them into a coherent ensemble and giving the viewers a few good views of the monster.

Unfortunately Carved won’t be a new Halloween classic. The script is long-winded and the story grows stagnant. The chemistry is lacking within this ensemble of actors and the special effects come across cheesy at times.

Entertainment that can be a great treat for “extremist” fans of the trash horror genre, as all the “ingredients” are there, but for me, even though I had fun at times, the production didn’t use the right “recipe” for a carved pumpkin to be a Halloween revenge.

I do like how every year hulu drops a different horror movie for Halloween but damn this was atrocious. U remember that one episode of the simpsons we all grew up on with a killer pumpkin this was basically that, this film felt so cheap it felt like it was made by couple highschool kids. Nothing but bad dialogue, same plot as that episode of the simpsons and a lot of cussing. The only good thing about this movie was the gory, bloody kills.

I am not exaggerating when I say this is the worst thing I've ever watched. Even if you like gory stuff, you won't like this, all it is is cursing, blood, repetition and what it is not is plot. Take my warning, don't watch this, for your sanity's sake. If you don't take my warning, and at any point in the film think about calling it quits, just know that it doesn't get any better. I don't normally write reviews but if this review saves one person from seeing this crapola I will feel I have helped humanity at least in a small way.

First off, I knew the kinda movie this would be going in. I knew it would be a fun, campy movie about a pumpkin 🎃 killing people. I didn't expect a Oscar winning performance out of anyone in this film. That being said, it's effects weren't bad and it entertained me as a Halloween night movie. It's campy and corny, but that's what I was expecting out of it. I can't say, I hated it.
