Man has found a new best friend: Tora, Pickles, Lucky, Zulu, Toodles, Flame and GoalKitty. These are just some of the lovable feline stars of director Mye Hoang’s debut documentary film CAT DADDIES. A heartwarming and tender portrait of a diverse group of men whose lives have been forever changed by their love of cats, CAT DADDIES takes us on an inspiring journey all across the United States during the challenging early days of the COVID-19 pandemic when people desperately needed hope and companionship. These nine “cat dads” come from all walks of life – a firefighter, a truck driver, a Hollywood stuntman, an ad executive turned cat rescuer, a police officer, a software engineer, an actor/Instagram influencer, a school teacher and an undocumented and disabled immigrant living on the streets of New York City. They couldn’t be any more different, but each of them has a compelling story to tell and share an unconditional love for their beloved cats. A refreshing and timely exploration of modern masculinity, CAT DADDIES shows us how being a “cat person” has no gender, and that the unlikely bond between man and cat is here to stay.

We love our cats so when I saw a documentary about cats and their people I was excited. My husband, however, told me "there's better be nothing in here to cry about--I don't want to cry in public." Think about the impact.that cats have: My husband was afraid that the documentary would make him cry. I couldn't guarantee anything but I did cry at a few points. After the movie ended, I wanted more. Did everything work out well for everyone? I wanted to donate to a couple of the causes (but I donated to our local cat refuges instead). I wanted everyone to have a happy ending but that doesn't happen in real life. I was thrilled that we had a movie star at our premiere in Dallas. We got to meet Tora the Traveling Cat! Tora is so much more patient with people than my cat. I'm following everyone I can because I'm invested in the stars. Thank you!

A documentary on men who own cats and there are moments that pull your heart. When the film becomes an informercial it loses steam, but in general this is a nice empty calorie ride. Final Score: 8/10

I thought this movie was purrfect. I hate documentaries normally, but this one is my favorite. I'd watch it more. And I want more, more stories and following up with a few of the cats in this one. It's got great music, interesting people, adorable cast of cats, and moving stories. You can't ask for more. If you want to see an interview where the director/producer reveals her own cat life, how and why she made the movie, pandemic challenges, and a bit about what's happened with some of the people, then check out @TheKittyBoss YouTube Channel or The Kitty Boss podcast everywhere podcasts are available!

If you like cats or even dogs or are an animal person, you will love this movie. It is so heartwarming and really shows how important that relationship is, how much unconditional love they give, and how much of an impact they have on our lives. I can't recommend this movie enough, everyone Needs to watch and support the makers of this movie.

This movie was so well done and opened eyes to the plight of cats in our society and the people who work so hard to rescue them. I would recommend this movie to children (and adults) to educate them of the importance of caring for our dear cats!

Watched at our local independent theater with a few hundred of my closest cat-loving friends, new and old! It was amazing… my emotions watching CAT DADDIES ran the gamut …from happy tears, to laughter tears, to sorrowful tears. I now follow the dads on social media and can barely wait until each and every one makes a post! Thank you for a beautiful film. #allthefeels
