Nope N It's shameful how some critics bombed this production. For a silly musical created from a silly poem, it has everything one could want out of this type of entertainment: heartthrob sensual costumes and makeup; catchy songs; incredible vocals; erotic acrobatics; lurid vignettes; an assembly of flawed but honorable heroes; a spicy, enigmatic villain; a loosely-knit community of feline femininity and masculine bravado; light sprinkles of magic; a story of heavenly ascension we can imagine to which cats can easily relate. So it was ok. The music is good. The story is really sinister and (without giving the ending away) it was like Logan's Run. Those cats never had a chance.
