Audience Member one of the few intriguing triad/crime dramas under Jing Wong's producing effort in the late 90s. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This is an entertaining enough triad action-drama movie that succeeds due to the presence of Louis Koo Tin-Lok, who should forevermore be known as Hong Kong's new triad leading man. His intensity and charisma serve him well in this role and he manages to overshadow Andy Lau, who turns in a relatively unremarkable performance. Wong Jing does his usual work with this genre, bringing us lousy police, evil bad guys, and affecting though hackneyed plot twists. The fight scenes are just plain messy, but the suspense and character development was on the dot. A very fitting finale as well. Good performance from the cast and good direction from Clarence Fok. Better than the overestimated A True Mob Story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
