Sydney Price (Minka Kelly) is a determined emerging executive who finally gets her chance to lead a major acquisition for Chateau Cassell, a beloved champagne house nestled in the heart of the Champagne region. When she hears she has been summoned to France around Christmas as part of the negotiations, she arrives in the city of lights with a hopeful heart and ready to close the deal. Taking one night off to soak in the magic of Paris over the holidays, Sydney has an unexpectedly charming run-in with Henri Cassell (Tom Wozniczka), a stranger who turns one simple evening into something special. But her plans for a whirlwind romance are quickly upended when she discovers that this charming Parisian is the founder's son of the very company she is hoping to acquire. Yet, even amidst the gentle competition set by Hugo Cassell (Thibault de Montalemert) for all the potential buyers at the family vineyard, Sydney and Henri find themselves irresistibly drawn to each other, realizing that their burgeoning feelings might be hard to keep bottled up.

John Anderson Wall Street Journal It may be that movie jokes have more traction in a movie so aware of being a movie, and the humor probably works as well as it does because it comes out of the bleu and is so incongruous to the general mood of the piece. Nov 20, 2025 Full Review William Bibbiani TheWrap The romantic part of Johnson’s rom-com barely reaches a low simmer, but the comedy part burns a little brighter. Nov 19, 2025 Full Review Adrian Horton Guardian For all its waxing poetic on the specific luxury of champagne, no one is pretending this is anything other than a mass market item; the things to hate are also the things to like. One might call a critic’s feelings about it a champagne problem. Rated: 2/5 Nov 19, 2025 Full Review Ready Steady Cut Staff Ready Steady Cut Champagne Problems is a modern holiday classic in the making. With undeniable chemistry between leads Minka Kelly and Tom Wozniczka, a genuinely funny supporting cast, and beautiful Parisian cinematography, this is the feel-good Christmas hit of 2025. Rated: 4.5/5 Dec 1, 2025 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media This Emily in Paris knockoff works its way into more interesting territory as the story evolves. Rated: 3/5 Nov 25, 2025 Full Review Jen Maravegias Pajiba You can argue that it’s just a silly Netflix rom-com that I should not be watching for authenticity. But as an actor, all you’ve got is authenticity. If I don’t believe what you’re saying or how you’re reacting, what’s the point? Nov 25, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Katherine G This movie was like a warm hug. Reminded me of Love Actually. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/01/25 Full Review Goose R. Hallmark grade Christmas movie on Netflix. Cheesy and predictable. The only bonus is looking at Paris in Christmas 🍿🍿🍿/5 on Netflix Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/01/25 Full Review Deepa H It is superficial, unrealistic and absurd storyline. I hope it was atleast believable. Random holiday movie I would say it's a waste of time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/01/25 Full Review Kurt P I will watch anything with Flula Borg in it! But everyone was so much fun in this movie. Especially the dog bubbles! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/01/25 Full Review Ryan S Think of Cooks Champagne that you microwave then are forced to shotgun through a funnel. This movie has way more than champagne problems. Horrible acting and predictable the whole way ... How does this have a 60% rating LOL Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/01/25 Full Review Renuka S Nicely done scene settings and locale. Roberto is probably the most interesting and original character. And then maybe the adorable Westie. The rest, meh. Slow moving, and could not get past Minka’s fake expressions and smile, and what is up with her drunken dialog delivery, every single scene? Like, almost incoherent. Ugh. Switched off.
