Nadine Cortez The Hermes Tidings this is a test review. Nov 17, 2025 Full Review LaToya Ferguson AV Club Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang are always the right medicine for any and every holiday. Nov 12, 2018 Full Review Troy Patterson Slate Witnessing the principle in action last night inspired some ready-made nostalgia and some ritualized pleasure. It affirmed the conviction that Charlie Brown is not just a good man, but a beautiful loser. Nov 9, 2018 Full Review Justin Brown Medium Popcorn Watching this makes me laugh because it's so out of control and ridiculous. Rated: 2/5 Nov 28, 2022 Full Review Brandon Collins Medium Popcorn This special is out of control for a plethora of reasons but it's still mildly entertaining. Rated: 2/5 Nov 28, 2022 Full Review Michael Walsh Nerdist The Great Pumpkin may be infinitely memorable, but the Thanksgiving special has a better story and themes more meaningful for the holiday it is celebrating. Ben P I like this special! The Thanksgiving feast that the group ate in the movie is honestly a great combination. Toast, jellybeans, popcorn, pretzels... how do you go wrong? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/01/25 Full Review Ed R Classic nostalgia with a great moral! Snoopy and Woodstock lead to a wonderment of humor as well! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/28/25 Full Review Joel H I’ve always felt like the Peanuts cartoons are a little sleepy. I’m a fan of A Charlie Brown Christmas, but even It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is a bit slow for my tastes. I know I’ve seen A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving before. However, I kind of forgot it existed. And even though this holiday special is barely 25 minutes long, it still has a lot of filler. There’s a whole musical interlude about Woodstock that just felt pointless. And I got annoyed by how rude Peppermint Patty is to Charlie Brown. There are some good moments, but I’d be grateful to not watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving again. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/23/25 Full Review Brian G It falls WAY behind the greatness of "Merry Christmas Charlie Brown", and "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown"...even behind "It's the Easter Beagle Charlie Brown". But any time spent with the Peanuts Gang around holidays is always welcome. My one pet peeve is how unreasonable, demanding and unpleasant Peppermint Patty is in this one. She's usually just oblivious in her self-centeredness, and it's funny. In this one, she comes off as a a bit of a jerk. Otherwise fun. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/23/25 Full Review Paul D Watching Charlie Brown Thanksgiving should be a tradition equivalent to having Turkey on this day! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/17/25 Full Review Uncle T This is part of the Peanuts holiday trilogy along with A Charlie Brown Christmas, and A Charlie Brown Halloween. I couldn't imagine my childhood without them. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/17/25 Full Review Read all reviews
