David Ansen Newsweek This is one of the silliest movies ever made--and lots of instantly forgettable fun. Mar 13, 2018 Full Review Neil Norman London Evening Standard The movie is constructed not so much of scenes, but of the poses that Charlie's Voguers throw as they preen and pout their way through a series of pop videos. Jan 15, 2018 Full Review Barbara Ellen Times (UK) The sequel to Charlie's Angels is a bit like being spritzed in the face with all the bad teenage perfume ever made. Jan 3, 2018 Full Review David Walsh World Socialist Web Site The work apparently sets out to prove that a film in the "post-modern" and "post-logocentric" age needs no plot whatsoever, merely large amounts of energy and technological wizardry. Feb 16, 2021 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com The film has so many fun curiosities that I find myself unable to fail it. Rated: 1.0/4.0 Sep 5, 2020 Full Review Sol Harris Starburst A film that concurrently confused adrenaline-fuelled whimsy with hacky over-editing, and Justin Theroux with someone capable of doing an Irish accent. Kuribos S I can forgive the lack of plot and general tropey-ness of the movie - it’s only trying to be a dumb, fun action movie. But that doesn’t excuse the nonsensical fight choreography, laughable special effects, or painfully forced one liners. It’s close to being so bad it’s hilarious, but falls short and lands with a limp thud in the garbage pit. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/11/24 Full Review Ralph R Full Throttle didn't quite capture the same energy and excitement as the first Charlie's Angels, but it's still a fun watch. The acting by Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu remains solid, and the production sticks to the flashy style of the original with over-the-top action and vibrant visuals. That said, the direction feels less focused, and the plot is more convoluted. The cinematography uses the same slow-motion and close-up techniques as the first, but at times it feels excessive. Despite this, the chemistry among the leads keeps things entertaining, and the movie embraces its campy, over-the-top nature. While not as strong as the original, it's enjoyable enough for fans of the series. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/11/24 Full Review Madie R Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu are still a dynamic trio that kicks some serious ass. Add in Bernie Mac, and John Cleese for some humourous moments. The story is weak but the cars are sweet! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/01/24 Full Review Rebecca G Great sequel. Lots of action. Fun to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/23 Full Review Kevin P Helen Natalie Thompson meet Alex Munday Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/17/23 Full Review Gareth v Bigger, sleeker and dumber than the original. A few decent gags saves this lame and poorly written movie from being a complete disaster. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
