i introduced this movie to my three year old after not seeing this movie since i was about six, and i fell in love with it all over again right along with my toddler. she was so fascinated and excited. every part of the movie she was jumping up and down and pointing. she loved all the talking animals and the messages, she kept repeating everything charlotte and all the other animals said, asking about it; she thinks charlotte is so sweet. a great memory for her & me. literally a perfect kids movie

I remember seeing this movie as a kid and loving it. I saw it recently for nostalgia's sake and I still like it very much. I think this is one of those movies that is great to show your kids to teach them to be kind and compassionate to all living things. You might also save your kid a spider phobia with this one.

Not quite as pungent and powerful as the animated 1972 Hannah Barbara version, which is considered a minor classic at this point...This version still holds up...It's good if not great ...This role reversal anthropomorphic Cinderella story; of a supernatural spider who sticks up for a helpless hog who's on the chopping block...Which is brilliantly both dark and shamelessly sentimental in spots...And both parts work well...Both this and the 72 version PAD the story unfortunately; this with unfortunate comic routines, and that with unfortunate music numbers...They would have been better off doing an hour long production and co-releasing it with a new version of Stuart Little or something...Still, there's still a solid story, solid acting, and it's solidly entertaining. No classic but it works.
