Although flawed and far-flung from the original film, Cheaper is still a sweetly saccharine alternative to some of the "heavier" films out there this holiday season, that does have some very funny family moments.

Cheaper by the Dozen, directed by Shawn Levy, is a lighthearted family comedy that largely succeeds thanks to the charm and chemistry of its lead actors, Bonnie Hunt and Steve Martin. They carry the story of a chaotic, loving family with ease, making the hectic household feel lively and entertaining. The screenplay, however, struggles to give every child equal weight, which leaves some of the dozen kids feeling underdeveloped or forgettable. Piper Perabo, Tom Welling, and Hilary Duff stand out among the older children, bringing energy and relatability to their roles, while Allison Stoner and Jacob Smith also provide memorable moments. The smaller children, though adorable, don’t get enough screen time to make a lasting impact, causing a slight imbalance in the ensemble. Despite these shortcomings, the film delivers plenty of funny, heartwarming scenes, chaotic family antics, and moments of genuine warmth. Overall, it’s an enjoyable watch that captures the joys and struggles of a family

Cheaper by the dozen….. more like BETTER by the dozen. it is my favourite film of all time and i don’t like everyone else saying it is bad. it is such a good heartwarming film… they are like my family 😊
