A pair of theatrical producers desperate to raise funds for their latest show mistake mild-mannered Tom Denham (Stanley Lupino) for a millionaire. Although taken aback by the error, Tom is flattered and, after seeing some of the musical numbers, feels responsible for playing out his role. Determined to provide for the show's cast and workers, Tom approaches bankers and wealthy businessmen to raise money for them -- and finds his mistaken identity is easier to enact than he thought.
