Young Chicken Little (Zach Braff) throws his small town into panic by claiming the sky is falling. Unable to find the piece of "sky" that hit him, he earns the town's scorn. A year later, outcast Little tries to redeem himself by joining the baseball team, helping to win a crucial game. Later that night he is hit on the head again and discovers that the "falling sky" is actually from a UFO. Now, Little must convince the skeptical town that an alien invasion is about to happen.

Truly there's no sense of calm to the film, which feels as if it's been assembled with the manic energy of a preschooler trying to fit square-shaped plastic toys into circle-shaped holes.

Kids might see too much silence and thought as something they’d do in a timeout, so the alien frenzy is thrust too far forward. "Chicken Little" still is fun, even if you don’t quite believe all that it’s telling you.

I agree that the animation isn't all that great, but this movie is etched in my childhood memory. I really like this movie, even though other people don't like it very much. I get a little sad when I remember that its sequel was canceled, I think in 2009 if I'm not mistaken.
