Ray R This is by far the BEST super low budget movie I have ever seen. Much in the style of "A Mighty Wind" but more grounded and realistic, Toasters and Moose are quite the comedic pair. The movie has some of the funniest lines I've ever heard in film and the songs are absurd and twisted in so many wonderful ways. Total amateurs. Just a group of Northern Californians (maybe they met in an improv class at the local community center or something) and they really just went for it! Said to each other, "Hey, let's make a ridiculous hilarious film. It'll be a riot!!" I don't know, I am totally just spit-balling here. But what I do know is, it's super silly, the acting and production value is horrible, there are a bunch of cameo appearances by random community members, people constantly glance at the camera, and every little bit of it is utterly brilliant. It is genuine hilarity packed into a train wreck from which you CANNOT pry your eyes. I'm not from California but I suddenly want to be best friends with the group of California weirdos that made this film. Seriously, I'm considering quitting my job, tearing my children out of school and away from their friends and relocating my family to whatever town in California this movie was shot in. Yep. This movie is that kind of experience. Pure Brilliance. Do yourself a favor and watch this movie. You'll laugh your ass off while simultaneously falling in love with humankind in a whole new way.
