Audience Member One of my childhood favorites. Just rewatched for the first time in about 30 years. Still very good and heartwarming. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm writing this for my eight year old self. I was so into this movie. It was a little bit scary, a little bit exciting and I really liked the story. As a 51 year old man, I still remember vividly this movie and the little ghost girl singing Frère Jacques. When ever I hear that song I think of this movie. It was just one of those movies I will always remember. It's dated but if you have a kid with a great imagination, this could be a good family night watch. If your letting your wee one watch Deadpool....just move along this is no longer for you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review bill t Not a bad kids tale about a family who move into a descrepit old mansion and is haunted by a child ghost who asks the boy of the family to solve a riddle or forever be haunted. Contains much drawl and sterotypes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I LOVED this film as a child. It's a perfect way to introduce a young one to all things creepy without scaring them too badly. it is a real, old fashioned ghost story complete with a murder mystery, a curse, a hidden treasure, and an antebellum plantation house. your kids will probably love it. it made such an impression on me that years later as an adult I could still remember the riddle used to set the spirit free: "sleeping lies the murdered lass. vainly cries the child of glass. when the two shall be as one' the spirit's journey will be done." what is the child of glass? spoilers....
