Walter Chaw Film Freak Central Shot in a lo-res, zero-budget style so kitchen-sink I wish someone had pulled the plug... Rated: 0.5/4 Mar 2, 2023 Full Review Stefan Birgir Stefans sbs.is There is nothing technically wrong with the film. Even the actors are fine. It's just not a horror film like one would expect. The horror is tacked onto a boring drama. That can work, but it must be brilliantly written and this ain't. Rated: 2/5 Mar 4, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Dan m The cast does a good job and it's an interesting concept. Better than I expected. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/19/23 Full Review steve d The performances were surprisingly professional for this kind of film. It is the best since the original. Marci Miller was really good. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member So bored I can't believe it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a good film Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Children of the Corn: Runaway once again tries to reboot the series, and does a rather poor job of it. The story follows a woman who was part of the original Gatlin corn cult who worshiped He Who Walks Behind the Rows but burned the fields and ran away when she found out that she was pregnant, and for 13 years she's been on the run with her son, but is forced to confront her past when they get stranded in a small town. None of the acting is very good, except maybe for Mary Kathryn Bryant; who has a bit of charisma as a spunky waitress. The writing and directing are also pretty bad, making things hard to follow with visions or flashbacks, or something. Yet despite all of its problems, Children of the Corn: Runaway still manages to be better than a lot of the other garbage in this series. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
