It's been years since Chucky, the doll with the soul and the voice (Brad Dourif) of a psychopathic killer, was apparently destroyed in a fire at a doll factory. Now Chucky's manufacturer is remaking the same line of toys with the old, still haunted materials. This resurrects Chucky, who goes after Andy (Justin Whalin), his former owner, who now attends military school. Chucky slashes his way through a string of grotesque murders as Andy tries to stop the homicidal doll and the spirit within it.

Justin Brown Medium Popcorn These films are just getting worse...I always thought Chucky was one of the better slasher characters but the setting for this story just doesn't fit. This was also incredible boring compared to the previous films. Rated: 1/5 Oct 24, 2023 Full Review Brandon Collins Medium Popcorn This was a lackluster sequel that didn't make any sense and was missing all of the fun that comes with a crazy character like Chucky...very disappointing... Jinnifer F What a fine piece of work. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/24/25 Full Review Ryan H. Chucky's blood is mixed in with a new doll when the Good Guys try to relaunch while Andy is in military school with a potentially new host for Chucky. There were some recasts and Chucky feels more like a trickster than a slasher in this film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/23/25 Full Review gabrielle D It’s not my favorite in the franchise, but it’s still worth a watch if your looking for a movie franchise to binge watch Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/20/25 Full Review Blu B Worst of the trilogy by a mile. The music isn't bad but kind of on the forgettable side at times. Acting is alright but the little kid is just an idiot to play along with Chucky's game. Everything else is just subpar. The first half actually isn't that bad overall. It's more guilty of just repeating the first two basically than anything in a different setting. The direction isn't bad either with some good special effects work. It's really in the middle and second half this just starts to really fumble overall. This starts to feel like two different storylines in general. Following Andy in Military School and Chucky plotting with failed schemes that really don't add anything. Than the pointless subplots with the girl and trying to get the little kid to be the new host. Yeah it makes sense but it's just very sloppy and muddled overall. On top of that it's nothing new. The kills aren't bad but there really isn't that many in this suprisingly. We already know what Chucky is here to do so there isn't really any suspense and it doesn't do anything particulary better than the first 2. Than there is just a bunch of dumb scenes like why the kid still trusts Chucky, how did Chucky get a live grenade, and it's just gets farfetched in general in the second half. Skip this. It's honestly not a trainwreck but doesn't have anything new to offer, no real character expansion, and doesn't do anything as good or better than the previous two. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/08/25 Full Review Khaliel P Released just nine months after the second film, the third Child’s Play installment was rushed into production under studio pressure, featuring an eight-year time jump to make Andy a teenager and a new actor for the role. With a smaller budget and direction by Jack Bender, the film has a TV-movie feel, and the murders are less graphic, though some are creative. However, filler scenes and poor pacing undermine the tension, making this entry weaker than its predecessors. Overall, it is a middling episode—neither terrible nor particularly memorable.
