A.H. Weiler New York Times He [Lee] is decidedly an eye-catching figure as he takes on all comers, singly or in whimpering groups, in stylized, Karate-like bouts with swift, balletic moves, baleful stares, deadly flying fists and legs and, of course, all the necessary eerie shouts. Patrick R Of all the Bruce Lee movies this is the greatest. It may not look as good as Enter the Dragon due to budget differences, but it has the story, the heart and soul. Lees teacher died under mysterious circumstances, seemingly only Lee questions this. Lee starts his quest to find out "the truth". A few meh moments in the middle of the movie can not take away from the madness soon to be. The last 20 minutes of this movie, Lee begins his vengeance unleashing possibly the greatest sequence of martial arts skill and insanity ever filmed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review N.A. His second Best movie !!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/24 Full Review noah g fun fight scenes the plot was kinda boring tho Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/24 Full Review CodyZamboni This is one of Bruce Lee's best movies, and his most emotional performance. Movie pushes all the right buttons as you really feel Lee's rage and innner conflict. Best of all, the fights -- Lee is so fast and brutal with his strkes and counter moves. Awesome marital arts choreogrphy, as Lee seeks vengeance against rival karate school. Final freeze frame encapsulates all the movie's themes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/19/23 Full Review DanTheMan 2 Packed with great vengeance and righteous fury, Fist of Fury more than lives up to its title. Resting on the crux of a rather dated anti-Japanese sentiment for its plot, the film deals with a multitude of different themes within its rather shakey and lagging narrative, be it injustice, grief, revenge and that ultimate price. This movie ultimately has an agenda but what Bruce manages to push through this otherwise one-note plot is simply marvellous, he is the star here, and he's not gonna let you forget it. Glorious dojo battles with one man versus dozens, expert nunchaku displays, furious anger, technical prowess... it's all here. The mix of the realistic and the fantastical with Lee's intense physicality gives the film an undeniable presence that also leaves room for Lo Wei's preference for hyper-stylized action that defies the laws of physics. If The Big Boss broke Bruce Lee out as a star, Fist of Fury cemented him as a legend. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/01/23 Full Review Brent A 40% rating ... Fairly decent storyline, but not enough to keep me engaged. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
