Amanda Wicks Paste Magazine He fails to give it the softening blow of a joke or personal anecdote. D'Elia taps into something dark, but he doesn't tie it back to his own experience and therefore make it more relevant than a pure rant. Jul 16, 2019 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider ... when sitcoms and movies pay him to act, he's great at it. If only his stand-up reached similar heights. Dec 20, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

yash b "Man on Fire" is a perfect example of a comedy that I think is just okay. It is far from being awful, but it is also not great. I think the special kept me fairly amused but very little had me laughing out loud. I still think Chris D'Elia is a very funny guy and feel he can do better than this special. Overall, if you're a fan of his, you'll find enjoyment here, but if you're not, this won't change your mind. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member this guy is a genius Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Arguably a little weaker and less funny than "Incorrigible", "Man on Fire" has the traits that make a D'Elia special worthwhile, but I felt that he spends a little too much time on premises that don't have that much more - or at least anything unpredictable - to give. There are still great moments though, and at his best he reminds me a bit of Louis C.K. - I don't know whether he was an influence or not, but I could imagine some of the bits in his voice, and that's a compliment. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Really funny, a must see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member This is really funny Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Dull and unfunny. Makes Dane Cook seem sophisticated and brilliant by comparison. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
