William Kyle H A perfectly imperfect Hallmark movie. If cliches and tropes warm your heart this is the perfect movie for you. And lowkey a lot of good performances! Throw this one on with some spiked eggnog in hand and family around and have a good time. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/23 Full Review Dave A As much as I enjoy Christmas movies, I hate when they are filmed in the summer and the camera tries to blur out the background to try and hide all the leaves on the trees! Other than that, this movie was ok. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/10/23 Full Review John B I thought this was an enjoyable Christmas story overall, but could have added a little more excitement or drama to the fold Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/07/23 Full Review r 9 A much less interesting film all in all, not that the preceding two are all that good anyway. 'Christmas In Evergreen: Tidings of Joy' continues the downward trajectory of this series, with an even more plain and unsatisfying festive story - at least to me, of course. In this 2019 sequel you get not one, not two but three cheesy love stories - all of which are, unfortunately, dull as ditchwater. Maggie Lawson (Katie) and Paul Greene (Ben) give the weakest lead performances yet, though at least some sort of continuity continues with Ashley Williams and Jill Wagner reprising their roles - albeit minorly. The plot to this didn't hit me at all, the time capsule idea is solid but didn't mean as much as it could've. Three films deep and this made-for-TV series may not have created a good watch, but they are yet to produce an absolutely terrible film - so I guess that's a positive? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The entire series is contrived, stale, and full of bad acting and horrible plots. The fact that 2 mechanics who had worked on the Christmas bells mechanism for years could not figure out that it was missing a key to unlock the works, despite there being an obvious keyhole, demonstrates that this fictional town needs a healthy dose of chlorine in its gene pool. Avoid this insipid series at all costs. It will literally reduce your IQ. Everyone associated with the making of this slop should be ashamed. There are far better ways to earn a living, even if some of them are illegal. At least you would not be inflicting this legacy on the world.
