Maddy Casale Decider While there are certainly cheesy and campy moments, in the end Christmas on Cherry Lane still manages to tug at the heartstrings with reminders of what the holiday season is truly about: togetherness. Dec 12, 2023 Full Review Jerrica Tisdale Tell-Tale TV It’s commendable that the channel did something different. Hopefully, it will continue to take chances and try different storylines and formats. Christmas on Cherry Lane has smart ideas and a brilliant cast. Rated: 3/5 Dec 11, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

SkyRo P “Christmas on Cherry Lane” is yet another film that had me curious about what Hallmark would deliver this time. Would it be the classic charm we’ve come to expect, or would it reflect the newer, more contemporary Hallmark style that has emerged since 2016, focusing more on current themes than traditional storytelling? Unfortunately, it leaned more towards the latter. The film centers around three different couples embarking on their romantic journeys, showcasing the variety of stories that can be told on television today. However, I was caught off guard by one of the storylines featuring a same-sex couple navigating their journey of building a home, falling in love, and starting a family. While it’s great to see such representation, I didn’t anticipate this direction based on the plot summary, and it threw me off a bit. Alongside them, the film also follows a younger couple and an older couple expecting a baby, adding layers to the narrative. While it’s refreshing to see diverse relationships highlighted, I felt a disconnect with the direction the film took versus what I was expecting. It’s a departure from the traditional Hallmark vibe that many fans cherish, making it a mixed bag for viewers who appreciate the classic storytelling of the holiday genre. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/31/24 Full Review Mandy S This was a rather silly film but I loved it! Just the thing for a chilly evening before Christmas Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/11/24 Full Review Dawn R Finally a different story line! Yes, cheesy and campy. Hallmark has so many repeat story lines. This one is new, fresh and uplifting! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/01/24 Full Review Peter G I think it's great the setting was an average, middle-class house, and not a McMansion -- American movie studios always want the world to think capitalism makes all Americans filthy rich ;) And they used average looking actors as well. It's no "All in the Family", but it's trying, at least, to keep it somewhat real. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/23/23 Full Review Joshua C It was just average. You could tell they were really low budget because they were using the same house for all of the families. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/12/23 Full Review Patricia M Confusing. Poor period costuming and makeup didn't help. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews
