Fat L This movie had so much potential, but instead, it's a bunch of dumb yahoos who don't even warn each other when they're staring straight at the storm. Literally nobody screams the word Tornado even though they see it coming. They just stare blankly at it frozen and then slowly run in circles trying to think of where to hide. I mean really at the mall the carolers just run past a bunch of people without uttering the word tornado, that's not realistic. There would have been people shouting "tornado" and "over here". Just really badly done. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Jeff M While I certainly can't recommend it, this is not the disaster that I anticipated (and secretly hoped for). True, the special effects are just a step or two above SHARKNADO and the acting unmemorable, but a lot of it is just cheesy fun. And if it didn't take itself quite so seriously, this could have been a keeper. There are some classically bad scenes here, including the demise of a news anchorperson that is hilarious. And a mind-blowingly horrendous performance by Christina DeRosa as a news producer featuring the worst Southern accent I've ever heard in my life. But, you know, when all is said and done, I can't say I had a horrible time watching this. I wouldn't put it on a double bill with TWISTER - the thought of that is absurd. But I do have a sweet spot for disaster movies, even sub-par ones, and I'd be willing to watch it again if I had nothing better to do. Again, not a recommendation, but I was mildly entertained and had a couple unintentional laughs. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review Christopher C The plot is okay as far as disaster movies, but the B roll footage is so bad it is laughable. There are no palm tree lining streets in North Texas. Also there are no hills or mountains in this area either. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/24/23 Full Review David W Not terrible but it's certainly not in the class of Twister (1996) directed by Jan De Bont. The acting is, to be charitable, somewhat eneven and the special effects are largely far from special. It'll pass some time of your feeling undemanding but otherwise hunker down and let it blow past. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/09/23 Full Review Tim B The movie was kind of a low budget movie, but it was pretty fun. My wife grew up in the town of Tulsa, OK and said this movie seems like a "real scenario". I lived in Kansas in college and I will agree that this is pretty scary; there we so many tornados that I came to ignore the tornado warnings at times. Tornados are extremely dangerous and people must use caution, but I really think that any movie that warns us about tornadoes is a plus. I also recommend the movie Twister. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Nick R This is absolutely the best. Of the worst. I hope they use they use this in film school to teach how not to make a movie. It's probably the best collection of what not to do, and how to do things badly ever put in one movie. You can bet everyone involved in this production, both in front of and behind the camera, would rather not mention this one on their resume....
