Galactic criminal Riddick (Vin Diesel) is on the run, with bounty hunters on his tail. He receives guidance from Aereon (Judi Dench), ambassador from the Elemental race, who informs him that a warrior army known as the Necromongers is annihilating all human life in the galaxy in a bid for universal dominance. The wise Aereon urges Riddick into battle, believing he is the one man who can defeat the Necromongers and their leader, the evil Lord Marshal (Colm Feore).

One of the most UNDERRATED films of the early 2000s but has since become one of the greatest Cult-Classics of all time in line with Clue, Big Trouble in Little China, and the 1982 The Thing. Very entertaining.

Riddick is on the run from bounty hunters but returns to help Imam and an Elemental fight a gladiator space fleet worshipping a necromancer. This was comparable to the first film while also broadening its universe. Riddick in prison is easily the best thing about this franchise so far.

29%???? There may be no other movie that has such a strongly divergent negative review vs mine! I've watched/rewatched this many times . What a kick-anything world/legend building exercise. Oh and how in tarnation is this not many levels above that kindergartner intellect level Pitch Black. "You keep what you kill"

One of the very few films that’s so bad, I turned it off halfway through even having purchased the DVD. I literally couldn’t give a bleep what happens in the other half of this nonsense. Jude Dench low point in her career. Undoubtedly. An absolute mess of a film.
