Prison guard Vince Rizzo (Andy Garcia) wants to quit his job to become an actor, but he also needs to make up for lost time with Tony (Steven Strait), a long-lost son who's an inmate where Vince works. When Tony is freed, Vince suggests the ex-convict move in with his wife, Joyce (Julianna Margulies), and their children. But because Vince neglects to tell his family that Tony is not just a stranger, but the son he fathered before he met Joyce, this leads to a series of comic misunderstandings.

Raymond De Felitta combines warmth, humanity, and a natural sense of humor, and is abetted by Andy Garcia and an excellent ensemble cast.

This feature might work better as a television series, but Garcia himself gives the picture some much-needed ballast. Go to Full Review

I won't make great claims for Raymond De Felitta's film - it hardly makes them for itself - but I will say this for it: as an ensemble acting workout, it exceeds expectations from the top down. Go to Full Review

Jim D @MoviesforJim Apr 27 Absolutely loved this little movie; stumbled on this channel surfing in the middle of the night looking for something to watch. It was a total surprise; compelling story, interesting characters, extremely well acted by a very solid cast. I highly recommend this story to anyone who wants to be solidly entertained from beginning to end. Much of the story and true point of the movie unfolds slowly as you watch. Because it uses that approach, you become well invested in the characters and the conflicts and sub-stories that need to be resolved. Not a classic movie in any regard, but I found it to be riveting to watch and truly entertaining and highly worth the time commitment. See more William M @Thesurfr Dec 30 I loved it...what a surprise. Kind of like a Woody Allen movie with internal conflicts within a family and other sub plots going around and everything coming together at the end with a twist. Definitely see this movie. Its a hidden gem for sure. See more Brian F. @FedUpDVDCollector Dec 15 Andy Garcia put on an acting clinic. This movie fell through the cracks. See more C.C.
