I'm not entirely sure why the film works. Its a blithe disinterest in telling a conventional story will leave some viewers, even discerning ones, feeling unsatisfied.

The actors are all terrific. Jung makes So so self-aware that you can, at least for a time, abide his abject selfishness. Nam is complex; she's difficult to like at first, but she has reasons for her behavior.

Claire's Camera is like a meditation where an instant camera provides the awareness so that when characters reject people, they sometimes have to take a second look to appreciate who they rebuffed.

The movie certainly has its charm, but with the same characters and setting, there are so many stories that would have been more interesting than this.

This is a strange comedy-drama. Made up of stilted, awkward conversations and not much plot. The story moved back and forth in time, and a lot of it is pretty ambiguous. It is funny at times, but you really have to be in the mood for it.

Wha??? What a mess. At times poorly acted and directed, with odd, unexplained behavior and mood swings. And wtf was with everyone asking her if she's cold and So flipping the hell out cuz she wears cut off shorts?!??!
