Eye C Ok, now they can do something with heart… it's still stupid, but Rosario Dawson gives some sort of seriousness… or something… Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review matthias s Clerks 2 is a worthy sequel to the 1994 cult classic. While it doesn't quite reach the same level of wit and humor as the original, it still manages to deliver plenty of laughs. The returning cast members all give great performances, particularly Brian O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson as Dante and Randal. The new additions to the cast, particularly Rosario Dawson as Becky, also fit in well and add to the film's dynamic. The story picks up a few years after where the first film left off and takes the characters on a new journey that is both funny and poignant. The commentary on modern society and relationships is spot on and well executed. Clerks 2 is a solid follow-up that is sure to please fans of the original. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Cork B There is some really witty, insightful comedic dialogue here. it is too bad that it is overshadowed by obscenities and a horrible horrible donkey scene. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/10/23 Full Review Marc Z This is part of a large series of low budget movies with a huge following that started with Clerks, the predecessor. There is a level of sarcasm and insightful, societal humor in this film that is just causticly funny. I hate say this but if you don't think this movie is funny it may be because the type of people targeted by Kevin Smith and the gangs' humor are you. The movie takes a look at struggling young people in the Suburbs. Jay and Silent Bob are engaging in every scene. They surpass the actual stars, Dante and Randal, and became a life of their own. Rosario Dawson, as Becky, is delightful. Ben Affleck is great because he gets it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/02/23 Full Review Gareth v While this sequel is more polished than the original (and it suffers a little as a result), the irreverent, crude humour remains. One of Kevin Smith's better movies Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/18/23 Full Review Jason S I think this is better than the first one because it a little bit funny i like the setting at a fast food restaurant and kevin smith did a good job at directing and writing and scenes are very good and acting very good as well the only bad thing in this is that the first 5 minutes that it but the second best kevin smith movie not as funny as jay and silent bob strikes back but petty close i think most kevin smith movie are funny.
