Ellen E Jones Guardian Sure, there's not much of a plot, but these Mickey Reece movies are a mood unto themselves. Rated: 4/5 Aug 18, 2021 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News Reece's film is a horror throwback that can leave you howling at the screen. Rated: 3/4 Feb 4, 2021 Full Review Barry Hertz Globe and Mail A sensuous, trippy mood that successfully seduces - at least for those who can easily settle into these kinds of campy experiments. (Guilty!) Rated: 3/4 Jan 14, 2021 Full Review C.H. Newell Father Son Holy Gore Like many great vampire works, this one posits the vampire as symbolic. Through Wesley, the undead creature takes on the form of a toxic male invading— and destroying— the lives of women. Rated: 4/5 Nov 22, 2022 Full Review Amie Simon I Love Splatter The vintage atmosphere coupled with the fantastic performances of all three leads really pulled me into this story - and it's honestly really refreshing to see something so different in this genre. Feb 19, 2021 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills Entertaining in a vaguely retro, credibility-stretched-to-the-breaking-point way is this eccentric tale from director Mickey Reece. Brad P While Climate of the Hunter is a masterpiece, it may not be for everyone. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Three middle aged persons meet after two decades ;each of them lives a complex life. The man has a defiant son, his sick wife gets into a mental institution, he returns to the place of his childhood. One of the two sisters remains unmarried, the other one suffers from disorders, abandoned by husband, has a daughter who is planning for having a child. It is the skill of the various people that enable a simple story into a horror mystery that reminds me of the 70's and 80's Jean Rollin films, they are fantasies in which story gets into backside, we see lively paintings before us. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review jaap a The time travel-inducing visuals and the comedic undertones brought by the sad but intriguing characters make this compact vampire mystery flick an enjoyable ride. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member this film is so boring and uninteresting that it should be banned for that. it would prevent more people from wasting their time on that stretch. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member The second best vampire movie I've seen next to Only Lovers Left Alive. I liked that the movie didn't really have a plot but was just a bunch of people talking over dinners. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
