A pleasant diversion for the young teens, but a waste of time for anyone older.

Songer K I WISH I Could give this. 0 stars. Cause this, is a cashgrab. Now, I'm not a fan of Nickelodeon Movies, but this movie is the bottom of the barrel. Do NOT Watch Clockstoppers under any circumstances. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/06/23 Full Review Red B Biggest problem is I realized they don't even stop time so the name is flase advertising. The acting isn't that good. The main character is a bumbling idiot geek half the time with cheesy lines. At times the line delivery is too fast for some reason and makes scenes feel rushed especially at the start. The acting also is very cheesy and over the top with its delivery. The worst part is the flat to terrible humor rampant throughout this. Bad slapstick, dog pee, bad puns, and just dumb jokes that are unneeded and make everything feel watered down. Also, the black friend is completely useless and contributes nothing to the plot. The cinematography isn't that good either. Basic Camerawork, bleh special effects which is a big letdown for a cool idea, and just dumb visual gags constantly. They really don't do much with the cool special effects. The nitrogen is kind of farfetched and stupid looking. The slow motion is really well done just used in such stupid/boring ways. The music is ok enough but man it is super dated and screams 2000's. The editing isn't good as this tries to be a Sci-Fi Kids story and a comedy at the same time and never makes the two work together at all. Sometimes it feels like a cross between Spy Kids (especially infiltrating the base) and The Matrix with slowing time. This leads to terrible pacing as this goes from too fast at the start, to many jokes in the middle, back to incredibly boring, and it drags action scenes out for more visual gags and it never works. This feels like a 2 hour movie. It's a shame because this could be a cool idea if they would've focused on devloping the idea in a serious way instead of devoting so much time to subpar comedy. You could do some really cool editing ideas with this. There actually isn't that much slowing time either in this. It's only in about a third of the movie also which was a big letdown. Most of it is again...dumb jokes. This has potential for a remake if it has better acting and less comedy than anything. As of now, stay away from this.
