Sergio Burstein Los Angeles Times An extravagant and atypical work, with an occasional inspired moment, which may spark the interest of those who are inclined towards this kind of oddity. [Full review in Spanish] Feb 6, 2025 Full Review Eric Langberg Everything's Interesting The movie’s meandering structure lacks the laser-sharp satirical precision of, say, Paul Verhoeven’s RoboCop, but it’s good for a laugh and it sneakily has something to say. Despite my misgivings, I’d happily watch a sequel. Feb 12, 2025 Full Review Katie Hogan She Likes Movies Despite the negatives, Clone Cops has its moments of fun and for those enjoy a schlocky sci-fi will find more merit. Feb 10, 2025 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed Clone Cops is a fun romp into the world of clones with action and comedy that land right. Feb 10, 2025 Full Review Alejandro Turdó Hoy Sale Cine Thanks to its comedic take on online gaming, Esports and monstrous tech corporations, Clone Cops shoots and hacks its way through a story that reflects upon what makes us humans, and how our fears and defects makes us as perfect as humanly possible. Feb 8, 2025 Full Review Tony Asankomah GhMovieFreak Some viewers, particularly those who thrive on intentionally weird, offbeat, midnight movies may find its sheer absurdity entertaining. Har H I was at a viewing of this movie in Somerville, Massachusetts. I couldn't believe when I heard that one of the members working on this film spent $300,000 of his own money to make it! That is dedication, that's what it means to throw caution to the wind. I remember saying this at the viewing, that it reminds me of the Netflix show "Umbrella Academy," because the team of people that are against the army of clones each have a distinctive talent. One is a hacker, one has a strange obsession with guns, and I can't remember the other ones but I know they had a talent too. I was confused on what was happening at first, but the story gradually reveals what is going on as you watch. I think the plot, One Tank Frank's lab setup, and the livestreaming interface were the strong suits of this film. If I were to give suggestions of what I would like to see in this series, I would like to see more choreographed fight scenes, and maybe less emotional scenes/ death scenes, since I don't think the actors really knew why they were getting emotional in a scene or their relationship they were supposed to have with the person they were talking to. I do not mean for any of this to come across as hate, just things I would like to see. But I am aware of the extreme difficulty of filmmaking. Philip Cordell did a great job as the Clone Cops, very energetic and funny. One Tank Frank, Thongdaddy420, and Persephone, also stood out as good actors to me. There was alot of restrictions due to budget, because even though $300,000 is alot for an Indie movie, movies are one of the most expensive forms of art out there, possibly the most expensive. But I know that with a higher budget, this movie would have a following. A funny action movie with a story that keeps you engaged. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/25/25 Full Review Acacia E This film was an absolutely blast to watch. I've never seen anything like it! A unique adventure that explores the connection between social media, humanity, and entertainment in quirky and innovative ways. You can feel that there was so much heart put into this by cast and crew. Excited to see what's next! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/25 Full Review Audience Member Clone Cops is a fun, action-packed ride that blends sci-fi, satire, and over-the-top mayhem. Packed with slick visuals, absurd humor, and a clever premise, it delivers a fresh take on the dystopian cop genre. A must-watch for fans of indie cult films! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/25 Full Review Gary G Way better than I expected, super funny. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/25 Full Review Chuck H Heard about it from it's massive online presence, and couldn't wait to see it. My favorite part about this movie is that is knows what it is... a wild, campy, fun ride with heart and soul. Low budget, sure, but these indie filmmakers obviously knew what they were doing. Lots of easter eggs I noticed, and will need to watch again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/25 Full Review Read all reviews
