This movie is bad, very bad but thats what I like about it. The acting was poor, the scares were cheap but I don't think it wanted to make the next Hills Have Eyes or Texas Chainsaw. It just wanted to make an enjoyable movie and I did enjoy it. It got me laughing at the dialogue and the acting. If you want to see a bad movie that can make you laugh, ClownTown is for you.

They use the same "inspired by real events" fake tagline a lot of crap movies use. The real event is that strange thing when people dressed as clowns and stared at people for no reason in 2014. The real clowns never killed anyone. So this load of bullshit is just to sell tickets to a shit movie. Another reason to be wary of when a horror movie uses "inspired" by true events. The pacing was awful. Plus it's not like the phone was stolen to lure them into a trap. If the phone was so important to her, she wouldn't be that clumsy or remembered long before they were miles away from the diner. It's not a total failure but I'd only recommend it if you have nothing else to do.

Terrible acting by the non clowns however the clowns are what made it for me! They deserve 5 plus stars! Beautifully acted by them, the subtle movements were the most terrifying! The non clowns were so bad I was rooting for the clowns!

Low budget indie horror. Looked like a professional film so they must've used a good camera. The story wasn't unique: 2 couples take a short cut via a small town and get picked off (2 survive). The acting was very very bad and it was plainly evident that they were amateurs. That really took away from the viewing experience. It wasn't very scary as the jump scares were amateur-ish and the rest of the film just didn't feel creepy. Overall not horrible but not ok either.

Well first I have more clown stuff than this. Maybe next time they could call me for props. I was a little sad I didn't get to see much clown stuff in a movie called Clown Town.
