Good balance of action and drama, and a three-dimensional, believable female protagonist. I do think she needed to be a little more muscular to really pull off the MMA stuff, but I was willing to let it go because the movie was engaging.

i watched this on Shudder, assuming it was a horror movie but it very quickly lost my attention & i couldn't finish it. seeing all the good ratings now i feel like i should try to rewatch it under the right expectations, but to be honest i have no desire to do so.

4.25* Very very good movie. Suspense thriller. Had 1-2 scares too but it wasn't a horror. The acting was great. Violetta Schurawlow is amazing as the protagonist. She does a great job of getting you to root for her. The story wasn't very unique but it was done very well so it stay interesting. The outcome was predictable but the ride there wasn't. The ending is really exciting. Great action scenes... and relentless action.

A paint by the numbers Lifetime television for women movie. Might as well have cast Heather Locklear or Nancy McKeon in the lead role. I regret I gave this 90 minutes of my life.
