Glossy special effects never make up for good characters and solid story. Also seems amateurish that they went for an off the shelf generic and royalty free 3D model as the basis of the main character. On the off chance that the producers had created something interesting then surely they'd have wanted to create an exclusive proprietary character. The world is saturated with content and audiences can pick and choose. Bland just doesn't cut it.
