a b The movie explores how both prisons and medical institutions dehumanize people and strip them of personhood. The treatment of disability as a subject isn't as abysmal as I had expected for a film from 1991 and the two leads give a good performance despite a somewhat wonky script. It's worth watching, I think, if you take the time to track it down online. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Watched this obscure Canadian film one under the title Chaindance. A few select prisoners are chosen to work with individuals with significant physical handicaps. A strong bond develops between Ironside and a man with cerebral palsy. Had a chance to be a real nice story, somewhat marred by the shooting at the end. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Michael Ironside blows up a cop car with a hand gun, almost gets sodomized by Bruce Glover (Martin Kove wannabe), gets a virgin with CP (Brad Dourif) laid by two women and then falls in love with Tommy Chong's Daughter. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This was a fantastic movie. Brad Dourif was absolutely amazing and extremely believable!! It was a very sweet and realistic friendship between a convict and an cerebral palsy victim. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A very good movie. Michael Ironside is amazing. (Never thought I'd write that...) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Possibly Brad Dourif's most humbling role to date, and the chemistry between him and Michael Ironside here feels genuine.
