dustin d Concrete Canyons appears to be a made-for-TV movie that could have been the two-hour series premier of a cable drama. Scott Patterson plays a sponge-worthy, retired small-town sheriff, who is something of a cross between Walker Texas Ranger and Sherlock Holmes. When his son is accused of murder in Chicago, he journeys to the concrete canyon to find the real killer and absolve his son. Despite the TV crime drama silliness--such as the sheriff having an IQ of like 240, but surveilling his suspects from about 50 feet away in broad daylight and making no attempt at disguising his activities--the film was engaging enough to while away the lockdown hours. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Retired country sheriff, Ben Sloan travels to the "Concrete Canyons" of Chicago to find out why his son is being sought for murder. He lands up working with detective Susan Kincaid to find the true killers (of course, he knows his son could never commit murder). It is a very watchable movie - even considering it is one of the many Canadian made-for-TV movies. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
