Steven D. Greydanus Decent Films Reverent, well directed, and well acted… Confession's weakness is also its promotional gimmick: Meyers directed the film at 24, but wrote the screenplay ten years earlier. Rated: C+ Feb 11, 2006 Full Review Read all reviews

SameFace P Fairly decent B grade film. The story has an interesting premise, but does feel a bit slow. It definitely feels like the first work of a young director, and the movie doesn't hit all the heights it tries to achieve, but it gets close enough to keep interest and investment in the characters. Any small plot holes or poor acting by the side characters are easily forgiven by some beautiful acting by the two leads, Cameron Daddo and Chris Pine. It's no wonder the latter crept up the Hollywood ladder and started landing leading roles in the big movies (such as 2009s "Star Trek"). Overall, a decent movie. Not exactly Shakespeare, but good enough for a simple movie night. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/22/25 Full Review Audience Member Fascinating storyline. Chris Pyne captures evil brilliantly. A searing morality tale. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/10/21 Full Review Audience Member Compelling picture: Chris Pine at his best role to date before Hell or High water. He was 25, but damn it, he was so good. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm not really sure what to rate this movie, I wasn't able to finish it because the DVD I had skipped so bad Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member There really are no good guys here. Nobody to root for, because just about everyone is slimy and underhanded. And the plot drags a bit. Overall, it's interesting enough, but with a bit more action, some more in-depth acting and maybe another plot twist or two, this would have been a much better film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Chris Pine plays a student at an all boys catholic school as the rebel & trouble maker selling alcohol, dirty magazines, etc to the kids & acts innocent fooling the priests. Until someone squeals & an unfortunate incident happens. Well Between watching Sands of Oblivion, This & then Frozen.. This was the movie tho not my fare.. I liked best. The character to me is well written showing a well rounded (no wait that?s not the TYPE of person the character is but how the character is written. As Complex as any of us & struggling w/ The issue(s) at hand. C+ Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
