Emerging director Edward Dmytryk had his work cut out fitting tubercular siblings, assassinated sculptors, gold-digging chorines, crooked auctioneers, and a hapless ice cream seller into a breathless 65-minute scenario. Go to Full Review

Russ G May 25 A B-movie try-out for director Edward Dmytryk. Blackie didn't confess to nuthin'. It's another in programmer made in the "ex-crook-gone-straight-gets-bum-rap-and-goes-on-the-lam-to-clear-himself" genre. IOW, the script could have been done as The Falcon, The Lone Wolf, etc. etc. Features the usual stock cast of good lookin' dames, mobsters, and bumbling cops. Nothing you haven't seen done before, and done better. See more 01/13/2016 ood noir good entry in this series See more 01/22/2008 One of the better Boston Blackie films.
