Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News In this uncompromising depiction of coming back after a suicide attempt, actor/writer Nadine Crocker takes us on a brutal odyssey that covers sensitive topics with candor. Rated: 3/4 Apr 13, 2022 Full Review Ian Kane Epoch Times Though some of the film’s moments are challenging to endure, the emotional journey makes it well worth the experience. This is truly brave filmmaking. Rated: 4/5 Sep 27, 2024 Full Review Monique Jones Common Sense Media But Continue is one of those films that can also be considered a necessary watch when it comes to understanding the toll that mental health symptoms can have on a person and their entire family. Sep 11, 2024 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue A more disciplined edit could have shaped a more consistently compelling narrative, but the film’s heartfelt ambition and bleak audacity give it an edgy potency Sep 6, 2024 Full Review Robert Kojder Flickering Myth A daringly authentic work about suicide that deserves as much awareness as possible for its potential ability to touch and even save lives Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 6, 2024 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies Continue is about characters who and relationships that are genuine... Jon The movie subject matter was very compellingly. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review Jerod S A daring and ambitious film about coming back after a suicide attempt. I don't know who Nadine is, but the movie caves to her acting and overly sexualized features...it gets corny. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/26/24 Full Review Michael K My friend told me to watch this movie and it was so long and dragged on Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/23/24 Full Review Barbara C Sorry no, it was super slow and boring wouldn’t recommend Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/23/24 Full Review Audience Member This film is fantastic. Very heavy. Deep. But... On a personal note, if you have an unstable mind. Don't watch it. It'll make you think... and think. Too much. It's Nadine's masterpiece, and Nadine herself plays her role with Oscar-worthy soul. Congratulations. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/13/24 Full Review Audience Member It’s not a happy go lucky viewing Then again it’s very heavy subject matter to portray if it’s mental health, depression or suicide Nadine Nicole Crocker stars and directs playing a woman who struggles to continue living After a near suicide attempt she’s taken to a mental institution to steer back on course Nadine doesn’t know how to proceed since both of her parents are gone and have disappointed her Her sister is even reluctant to help anymore As time goes by though she finds the strength to move on with new friends and a boyfriend There’s no easy way to come back for taking our own lives, survivors carry on for others that are gone, we only have regrets after our loved ones are gone missing the opportunity to say a million things they never hear, it’s not just one person in the world who can experience pain and loss, we can choose to continue not just for ourselves, suicide destroys everyone’s lives, it’s a vicious cycle that’s unfortunately acceptable to those who think about doing it The movie does run a bit long and at times feels very repetitive But Crocker’s performance sells the film being able to confront a sensitive issue such as this; it’s a societal pandemic we shouldn’t ignore Not only can the discussions touch lives but also save them Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews
