Audience Member Everything about this spoof of attacking animals flick was horrible… which is why it was worth the watch. The acting was melodramatic and cheesy, the scripting was reminiscent of every other low-budget horror flick. However, fun was with the tropes of gun toting, alcohol swilling college kids; incompetent "experts"; hyper patriotic redneck business owners and clueless, yet corrupt politicians. If you're wanting a decent satire or spoof flick, this is worth your time! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This was an AWFUL movie, though I expected that, considering it was a Troma movie. But I will say that if you want a hilarious movie to entertain you, this is the one you should pick, because in entertainment, it got 5 stars. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member It's mostly played for laughs (quite obviously at that), and if by the time the characters break out into song about why each one of them wants to kill the raccoon zombies, and you aren't laughing, then turn it off, as you won't enjoy the rest of the movie, which is fine. This one is a very specific kind of bad flick, a Troma one! That says about all you need to know. Like Troma? Then this is a decent entry in their brand of movies. Dislike them? Then this won't change your mind. I like them. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member When a group of college students decide to spend there summer break at a local campground lookin for have the best summer of there lives little did they know what would be in store for them all the reg sterotypes are featured here you got the frat boys, backwoods hippies and overzealous bible students everything is going good everyone is partying that is of course untill there is a oubreak of killer raccoons on the loose wrecking havoc and murder all along the campsite. This movie is not meant to be taken serious at all its suppose to be funny which for some of it there can be found a few chuckles which is the reason for the two and half stars but overall this movie is pretty cheesy and only some will find it worth watching. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member this film is so stupid that it's hard not to enjoy it. it's so low-budget that it essentially has the same actors in multiple roles with only a change of clothes, fake facial hair, and bad accents letting the viewer keep track of what character the actor is portraying in the current scene...plus, it's got killer, poo-flinging, gun-slinging raccoons and raccoon-zombie-people...how can it not be enjoyable? Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member To quote a recurring joke throughout the movie: "Dude, that's sophomoric." For the first half hour or so, I really wanted to like "Coons!" It was unapologetically low budget--to the point of casting actors in multiple roles, with nothing but a crappy accent and horrendously fake mustache and/or wig to distinguish them. And it seemed like the people behind it were just in it to have fun...then they started trying too hard. The film eventually degenerated into a bunch of fart jokes and painfully bad puns. Plus, the running time was at least 20 minutes too long. I realize that without those 20 minutes, the movie would have clocked in just at the 1 hour mark, but it seriously dragged in places. Overall, "Coons!" definitely isn't the worst movie I've ever seen, but it's the wrong brand of cheese to be enjoyable in its crappiness. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
