      Critics Consensus

Corporate culture may seem like easy pickings for satire, but the middling Corporate Animals proves even the broadest targets can be missed.

David M Not just worst movie in the past year, one of the worst ever. I don't see how this movie ever could have been made without the TV series The Office having come before it. Cringeworthy like the office, but with attempts at gross-out humor that don't land. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review Elijah B Great cast and some funny moments but dear god is it rough Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review John M Worst movie ever it was a waste of time the whole movie was stupid none of it made any sense this is my most hated movie ever I will never watch it again I hate the ending where they had to push a large rock on Lucy's face there was no sense of doing that I hope they don't do a corporate Animals 2 because this was a bad the actors and the actresses were bad even the charming Demi Moore Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review Jeffrey P Sets up good, then takes the plot in one bad direction after another. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/26/23 Full Review justin t This is the darkest film ever. I realise they are trapped in a cave but we can't see anything. And that is a huge problem with a comedy film. If you can't see the actors faces or body movements then it's not funny. It also feels horribly unoriginal hollow Hollywood waste of effort. The characters are just about watchable enough to stay with the film to the end, but only just. Try Severance (2006) for a better version of the exact same film. Or The Descent (2005) if you want to watch something set in a cave. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review bryan b The office in a cave. Had a lot of potential but actually played it really safe. Could have gone much more over the top. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Monica Castillo RogerEbert.com A miserable time in poor company. Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 20, 2019 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times [P]oor Demi Moore - playing the self-centered CEO of a failing company - comes off as stiff and shrill, setting the tone for a movie that's stilted from start to finish. Sep 19, 2019 Full Review Rex Reed Observer It's good to have Demi Moore making a comeback after a prolonged absence from the screen, but not in a load of unmitigated crap called Corporate Animals. Rated: 0/4 Sep 19, 2019 Full Review Ben Flanagan Vague Visages Brice and company get too tied up in the character comedy for Corporate Animals to work as a satire, and the televisual filmmaking isn’t helped by a plotline that could have been a single episode of The Office. Sep 20, 2023 Full Review Steven Sheehan The Digital Fix Director Patrick Brice's film presents itself as a comedy and you might be of the mindset that there should be enough talent there to raise a few laughs. It doesn't. Rated: 3/10 Feb 6, 2020 Full Review Matt Cipolla The Spool If you're going to do deadpan humor, don't explain every joke. If you're going to do an ensemble piece, maybe don't have twice as many people as you need. Jan 17, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
