Highlighting the ridiculous accusations by men (and some women), specifically those who belong to catholic church and their desire for ultimate power over unmarried women. See more T T 03/05/2023 The Spanish inquisition was a horrible and barbaric time in human history where many innocent victims were needlessly murdered. That said, this movie was very boring and unnecessarily long. It could have easily been 30 minutes shorter without affecting the plot. After about 40 minutes, I was fed up and was ready to turn it off, but I decided to continue watching it till the end. Don't make the same mistake. Obvio era predecible, todos sabíamos que la chicas no tenían ninguna oportunidad contra la santa inquisición pero ese no es el punto. El punto es cómo disfrutan de su última noche de libertad, el contraste entre la "pecaminosa" acusación y la pureza de su amistad. La pelicula muestra niñas, niñas a las que querían matar por que se fueron una noche a beber al bosque. Su acto de rebeldía no es un escape grandioso con giros inesperados, sino el no ponerse el gorro con forma de pene, no acusarse mutuamente como el juez pretendia, jugar, divertirse, usar las tradiciones de su pueblo que la autoridad considera "paganas" para tomar decisiones propias.
