Minutes in, it's clear that Coyote Lake is not your run-of-the-mill U.S.-Mexico border story...you get a sense of a filmmaker truly in control of the tone of her film, a bellwether, one hopes, of even more assured films to come.

A good thriller. Suspenfull and sarcastic! Loved the relationship between the old woman and Dirk, a dominant and controller woman and a mental impaired mature man.I for sure recommend you to see this film.

Sooo slow I lost concentration. I haven't a clue why Derk was in this film. The young boys part was most interesting but not enough to keep me gripped!
