Haley S Loved this movie, the acting, directing were exceptional. Script very good too, as I forgot that I was watching actresses and just saw a bunch of teen-agers and an English boarding school staff. The quality of this film is evidenced by the fact that I cared about or disliked every character. I had an emotional response to the entire cast. Plus the visuals of the movie and lighting is beautiful. Almost too beautiful a location, for the movies subject matter. A similar story, where a man maims a woman is easier to understand while here, where the perpetrator is a frustrated lesbian, people are shocked, shocked! One of the producers is Ridley Scott who I assume knows something more about movies than the individuals who assign half a star to this movie. It is very well photographed and has nice music. The acting is uniformly first class. If you watch the credits you will discover that the number of producers exceeds the number of the actors. I find this totally ridiculous. We started with one producer in the old Hollywood and then added one or two more and now we have a small expeditionary company with co-producers, executive producers and associate producers, in this case nineteen individuals, versus sixteen cast. I am sure if this was an American production we would also have two armies doing digital effects. Here thankfully, only three people are credited.
