Michael Sragow New Yorker Primordially funny: this is one of the few cartoons that get adults to laugh as helplessly as kids. Dec 27, 2010 Full Review Amber Wilkinson Eye for Film This series is, by turns, moving and hilarious, poignant and frivolous. Audience Member Marking the official debut of Nick Park's iconic art style and character designs, boasting natural-sounding voice acting that was literally Park interviewing people about their thoughts on the zoo and having that quaint British humour that remains funny in its inherent stoicism, the Oscar-winning short film Creature Comforts truly established, alongside the Wallace & Gromit shorts, that Aardman Animations were a force to be reckoned with. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member I really like it. It's amazing Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member good anime clay amine that is! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The original short film deservedly won the awards it should've. This short inspired THE GREAT TV SERIES!!! BTW BBC > US. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This acclaimed short film, which established the reputation of director Nick Park, is a stop-motion animated faux documentary about animals at the zoo. Park essentially takes the recorded gripes of various English people and places them in the context of zoo animals discussing their living conditions. It's an interesting premise and the film pulls it off using dry, precocious wit. Anyone who digs Wallace & Gromit, Chicken Run, or The Pirates: Band of Misfits would be fond of this Oscar-winning feature. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member A clever concept done at the height of claymation. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
