Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) never knew his famous father, boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. However, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and asks the retired champ to be his trainer. Rocky sees much of Apollo in Adonis, and agrees to mentor him, even as he battles an opponent deadlier than any in the ring. With Rocky's help, Adonis soon gets a title shot, but whether he has the true heart of a fighter remains to be seen.

Creed brings the Rocky franchise off the mat for a surprisingly effective seventh round that extends the boxer's saga in interesting new directions while staying true to its classic predecessors' roots.

Rafael S I need to start this review by saying how much i love the way the fight scenes are shot, its so fluid that it makes you feel present in the moment, you really feel the punches, the gasps for air, the struggle, all of that. The story is good, its an interesting underdog story, but i find it more interesting since Apollo Creed isn’t exactly supposed to be an underdog. I like the story, the way the characters meet, interact and develop their relationships. I also need to say i love the montages in this movie, the visual storytelling is really top notch. Concluding, Creed is a banger of a movie that i loved. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/10/25 Full Review Bridget W Wow! Just wow! I am NOT a fan of the original Rocky movies, but this movie was amazing! Fantastic script, incredible acting, full of heart! My cold-hearted husband even teared up! Michael B Jordan was born for this role. It’s hard for me to even find a flaw with this movie. Just an all around exceptional piece of work by Ryan Coogler, the continuation of the Rocky movies could not have been any better. Michael B. Jordan is an absolute star and his acting never fails to deliver. The movie makes you feel all the emotions while still leaving you inspired.
