Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) never knew his famous father, boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. However, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and asks the retired champ to be his trainer. Rocky sees much of Apollo in Adonis, and agrees to mentor him, even as he battles an opponent deadlier than any in the ring. With Rocky's help, Adonis soon gets a title shot, but whether he has the true heart of a fighter remains to be seen.

Creed brings the Rocky franchise off the mat for a surprisingly effective seventh round that extends the boxer's saga in interesting new directions while staying true to its classic predecessors' roots.

Malik D. @Princevon Nov 11 This was a solid entry into the franchise. See more Ralph R Sep 11 Waited too long to see this one, Creed (2015) carries the Rocky name with pride and still feels like its own film. Ryan Coogler's direction is on point, blending fresh energy with the classic structure. The story does follow a familiar path, but it feels natural and never forced. Michael B. Jordan shines as Adonis, giving the character both intensity and vulnerability. Stallone, stepping back as Rocky was a treat, he delivers one of his more heartfelt performances, showing a quieter but powerful side of hi character. Tessa Thompson also adds depth with a believable and grounded role. The fight sequences are some of the best parts of the movie, shot with intensity and emotion that make every punch count. While the film doesn’t hit the same emotional peaks as the original Rocky and can feel a little predictable, it is still a strong, engaging drama with great performances and direction. Creed se revelou uma obra fantástica, com uma trama envolvente e um desenvolvimento de personagens muito bem construído com emoção e drama puro de cinema. Foi uma surpresa positiva e acima de todas as expectativas.
