The person is question is René Brunel (Robert Hossein), a university student who decides that society's laws don't apply to him, and manages to justify the killing of a wealthy old woman in his own mind.       Bill T This version of Crime and Punishment is pretty good, had some interesting ideas up it's sleeve.. Especially with the sleaze of a fiancee of the sister of the lead character has to deal with. The story is all there, it may have just been a wee bit TOO heavy handed for me to enjoy..
