Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com As a movie, there's plenty here to respect. As entertainment, however, this is tough one to enjoy, all of which makes Criminal a vexing spectacle that's hard to watch all the way through to its end. Rated: 2/4 Aug 11, 2016 Full Review Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald It's lazy, corrupt and sleazy filmmaking, the kind of film that's killing the business. Rated: 2/5 May 18, 2016 Full Review John Nugent Empire Magazine We can but pray that scientists invent a procedure to remove the memory of ever watching this film in the first place. Rated: 1/5 May 11, 2016 Full Review Colin Biggs Vague Visages Regretfully, Criminal makes up for its lack of ideas with blood, guts and even more blood. Dec 1, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review A dull, yet star-studded production that feels like a 1990s action movie throwback - complete with over-the-top villains, ruthless violence, and an absurd premise. Rated: 1.5/4 Apr 15, 2022 Full Review Leo Brady AMovieGuy.com The only thing that is Criminal about this movie, is that they have gotten away with making it. Aaron B Not as bad as the critics make out. This is a decent action movie (with an absurdly generic title... should have been Jericho or something, anything else). It could have been elevated to a great action movie with, say, Mickey Rourke in the main role instead of Costner... and maybe Javier Bardem instead of the mediocre baddie. Oh, well. But apart from a couple of eye rollers in the script and a little too much effort put into keeping the pace up, it was interesting and easy to watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/26/24 Full Review Lina M I thnk the biggest problem here is that reynolds should have been jerico and costner the agent who died Costner just isnt believable as some evil human being. But overall its a good film for a night. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/31/24 Full Review Craig B Criminal is considerably better than what the critics and most audience reviews would have you believe. I usually avoid movies with an audience rating less than 50%, but this was close to that and reading some of the positive reviews, suggested the critique was overly harsh. Overall, a pretty decent action / thriller with SciFi overtones. Solid cast including Kevin Costner (who was nowhere near as bad as some of the e reviews indicated), Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones and Gal Gadot. Well worth your time if you like spy thrillers with a twist. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Troy G Great movie with an allstar cast. 30% ... ??? .WTAF. different role for Costner , but he nailed it. A very believable character. A little slow in parts , but these days , I'd prefer that to scenes of killing and carnage... 8/10 tomoatos Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/18/24 Full Review Jennifer N Im not sure why this did not get better ratings but this film is one of my favorites! I love Kevin Costner's character in this film and the ending is great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Dani G What a bad actor Kevin Costner is, really. And in this one, he spreads it with most of the cast. A would-be entertaining movie, marred by its leading character in most part Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/07/24 Full Review Read all reviews
