mick z The political bashing is too obvious. They make the real news look unbiased. But love the subject matter. Read the book first, Brian Cruver wrote a good book. Acting is a little low budget. 2 Versions. The one most people have seen has the version scored by maybe the studio. The other version and the first one I saw, it had "Takin Care of business" when Cruver is driving his new Lexus talking to Bickers on the phone. and Lady Marmalade - playing at the quarterly profit party. It helped that I was really into the subject matter. Definitely MOW and not a full funded movie - But I did enjoy it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/18/24 Full Review Audience Member Amateur hour. This movie is so bad it hurts. I think it might have been produced by some high school visual arts club. A painful watch for what should have been a very engaging story, the meteoric rise and corrupt fall of Enron. Missed opportunity. If you want to understand what this movie SHOULD HAVE BEEN watch The Big Short. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This is another episode in less than two decades of staggering financial impropriety. Other movies of this genre are "The Big Short" and "Inside Job." If there's ANY conclusion that can be drawn from all three of these disasters it is that the CPA profession is a failure. These accountants hold themselves out as protectors of the public when it seems obvious that what they do is use their state-run monopoly status to charge huge fees and collude with the management of their audit clients. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Poorly acted, shot, and written, even for a tv movie. There are plenty of documentaries on the Enron case that are 1000x better. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyable, nothing more & nothing less. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member A great entertainment piece on the rise and fall of Enron in the 90's which is still being resolved today and left alot of lessons for anyone interested in the stock market. An interesting rollercoaster ride. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
