Peter Bradshaw Guardian There are one or two enjoyable moments in this cheerfully ridiculous erotic horror from director and co-writer Iain Ross-McNamee; sadly it doesn't quite work. Rated: 2/5 Jan 31, 2019 Full Review Chris Ward Flickering Myth Despite its best efforts Crucible of the Vampire just doesn't have enough weight behind it to achieve what it really wants to. Rated: 2/5 Feb 21, 2019 Full Review Nick Hasted The Arts Desk Style, scares and audacious ideas are all finally much too thin on the ground to elevate this film beyond its budget. Rated: 2/5 Feb 3, 2019 Full Review Niall Browne Movies in Focus Iain Ross-McNamee tries to take British horror back to the late 1960s and early 1970s with Crucible of The Vampire, a solid low budget fright pic that has enough atmosphere, quirky performances and mystery to keep you hooked. Rated: 3/5 Feb 2, 2019 Full Review Rob Aldam Backseat Mafia Mixing 17th century history with the present, Ross-McNamee conjures up a tale which is both creepy and intelligently crafted. Jan 28, 2019 Full Review Martin Unsworth Starburst As it is, it's a fine stab at bringing back a style of movie that is sorely missed by many. Rated: 8/10 Mar 26, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

David R The lead actress, Ms Goldfinch, was quite good. The movie was a slow-burn which had a few moments of interest. But, flipping the heroine from the don't-drink-that-you-idiot patsy to the you-can't-strap-me-down ass-kicker was a bit of a stretch. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/26/24 Full Review The Belfast Viking M After watching it am still trying to figure out things like. Why she takes days to dig out the already nearly dug out half. Why she not complain about her phone. Only 3 people in house phone goes missing ?. She scared she's seen the ghost so she leaves the house to phone to say she's leaving but didn't take her stuff so she had to go back ?. Just a very funny looking vampire.parts just didn't make sense Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Neil Morrissey should've had more to do in this. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Acting is so unconvincing I keep thinking I'm watching a bad soap, watched on youtube. an ad appeared in the middle without me noticing I suddenly thought this film had got better.
