Audience Member Painfully bad and painfully boring. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A woman buys a crystal from an antique shop that contains an evil force that crashes a seance in the form of a rubbery monster. Bad acting and special effects are compounded by a poorly developed plot. Somehow managed to produce a sequel. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A mediocre film. It sticks to the 80's horror formula of bad gore and nudity but it lost my attention at times. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member 82 minutes, 4 (weak) kills and 1 reused monster from The Terror Within= 0 entertainment. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member If you are looking for a scary film with a terrifying monster and a clever, twisted plot...then this movie is not for you. That being said, I did the old double VCR home-dub off a copy from Blockbuster a decade ago and I've watched the film semi-annually or so ever since. I usually try to pick new groups of friends to watch it with since I very much enjoy pointing out the hilarious inconsistencies, dialogue flubs, unfathomable "sex scenes", and special effects reminiscent of middle school drama club. It is just a treasure trove of B movie tropes. Had the filmmakers embraced the hokieness of it all, they may have had a genius satire on their hands. That lack of insight on their part is the only reason I shaved a star off this review. Favorite scenes include: the walk from the cemetery that bears no importance at all to the plot, yet is a sequence of about fifteen different camera angles and everytime the poor dogs they used as Beazle's pets trip over each other/can barely (and obviously) be detained from fleeing the set. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A dark force is operating a smalltown antique shop, selling crystals as a gateway to hell and unleashing a lizard-like demon. Doesn't really connect the dots very well. A film whose aim easily outdistances its grasp but somehow managed to yield a sequel. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
