John Ferguson Radio Times Curse of the Talisman contains horror scenes that would barely raise a whimper at a kindergarten, while the creature effects are laughably inept. Rated: 1/5 Aug 13, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

david Silly in story and performance but surprisingly provides some quite fun Halloween moments that makes up for it, and even a couple of well staged FX scenes (opening sequence, car/gargoyle chase, party, some of end sequence) Practical FX gargoyles are hit and miss but the CGI versions work surprisingly well for a 20+ year old TV movie. A post-"Neighbours" and pre-"House" Jesse Spencer starring role is a major enticement to see this. Yup, no Emmy or even Teen Choice award, but you see a faint glimmer here of what he went on to do. Final point - surprisingly, this movie has VERY cool opening title sequence, with haunting song/score and eerie, well done animation, close to what you'd see in a big-budget movie of this kind. WHAT?!?! WHY?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is so unintentionally funny it's sad.from the bad accent coverups (obviously austrailian filmed for america b-movie) to the overly cheesy plot nothing can save this movie not even Jesse Spencer.Though i must recommend this to all House fans just for a laugh and to see how much he's grown as an actor since then.
